Games Programmer & Full-Stack Developer
My name is John Carkeek and I am a full-time programmer, always eager to learn more.
I guess you're here because you want to know a bit about me. I'm not all that good at talking about myself but ill give it a shot.
Here are my Nuget Packages!
Hi there! My passion for gaming burns in my heart so strong that I decided that I wanted to make games for others to enjoy. So here I am, trying my best to get into the industry. I took up programming at the age of 12 starting with some basic scripting languages such as HTML and Lua. I found them very fun to use and learn with. Once GCSE's started I chose Computing which was where we did Python and also about computer hardware, networking and Assembly Coding. In class I spent most of my time helping others to understand the basics of the language and help them along the way since our tutor wasn't that fluent in the languages. I then moved on to C# after finishing school as I went into making basic applications. I then became fluent enough in the language to start teaching others so I made use of that when starting college. I never bothered with games development until I started at college this is because I was more interested in making applications and other things such as Discord bots. If you have any questions that you would like to ask feel free to contact me, either by email or on Discord.(I'm an Orange#3871) Thank you for reading :)!

Attitude toward work:
John had a very positive attitude towards work that he found interesting and challenging tackling the tasks that were set well, on occasion there were elements of the course that he found not so interesting, however would set himself the progressive targets towards attainment of the goals set. He worked well within the team activities and was also able to manage his time effectively on individual projects. I observed on several occasions his support of his peers when they asked for help. Overall a positive attitude was shown.
Attendance:
John had quite a lot of health issues that affected his attendance, however this did not affect his progression we used email correspondence to enable him to complete work and set tasks at home.
Achievement:
John managed to complete all of the required units that comprise the level 2 Games development diploma to a Merit standard.
